We will be travelling to Eastern Europe to collect an unrelated trio of Swallowbellies to join the Britanny herd, and to add to the Normandy herd, a trio of Reds and Blondes, and a Swallowbelly male, which will be unrelated to all of the current breeding stock, and the new Swallowbelly boar destined for Britanny.
All the new arrivals will be registered with the British Pig Association (BPA), and breeding will commence end 2008.
Marley, originally from the Britanny herd and sold to a lady in Belabre area 36370 has been stolen!
It is a terrible story, but just shows how sought after these pigs are becoming. There were other pigs on the land, but the thief only came for one - Marley.
We recommend that any future piglets are microchipped. It wont prevent the crime but it will identify the rightful owner of the pig. This can be arranged before a sale, or on arrival at a new home.
Marleys owner has resienged herself to never finding Marley, but is chipping her new Mangalitza piglets for peace of mind.
Please keep a look out for Marley and let us know if you suspect that you have found him!
